Welcome back

I still remember that fast and furious parody. Good to see you back in action

Good to have you back!

any plans for JSTMK? ya know that old sprite series you worked a long time ago?

Probably not, since that was essentially just a rushed, unorganized project I kind of threw together when I was really young and didn't have many skills with animation or writing. If I resurrect the idea in the future, it'll be a similar concept only much more refined.

Wow I certainly didn't expect you to come back here.

You're like the third animator to come back and post is there some kinda newgrounds nostalgia that's happening now? Wiggy.

While I still love Baron Von Brunk the character, I understand how self-insert is cringy to look back on.. and it makes me wonder if people like Christopher Titus or Will Smith look back on their sitcoms that were just... them with characters doing things and cringe.

In my defense, the main reason behind my usage of a self-insert Mary Sue was due to the fact that I'm absolutely terrible writer. Therefore, to make up for my lack of ability to write plots, I realized I could just have the main character be an exaggerated version of myself, and his adventures would be exaggerated stories based on my real life. For example, the whole SPEWOMorg thing was one big inside joke about my personal life: the members of that organization were based off my former high school teachers and former girlfriends. The gag was that in real life a lot of my enemies at the time were women with glasses (former teachers, girlfriends, coworkers), and that I joked that that there was an international conspiracy for women with glasses to follow me around and try to assassinate me. Other Baron von Brunk cartoons contained various elements of gags and inside jokes based on my personal life at the time as well.

@The-T-C @von-Brunk That's interesting.

Tho that's like... most artists base things off their life and if they don't have a character that's just them but cooler, they have many characters that are basically parts of their personality. XD

At least if there's writers out there that DON'T do this... I've never heard of them.
